Dear Traveler:
The holidays have come and gone and the white squirrels have promised not to candy-stripe their tails until at least next November. The forests are pretty quiet, but advance word says that spring will be quite a show, if you’re the type to think ahead. It’s a little chilly for Sliding Rock, but that certainly hasn’t stopped a fair amount of hikers and climbers and cyclists from taking advantage of the pretty days to get out and about in the woods.
Because Transylvania County's winter weather is more often delightful than frightful, making your escape to the Land of Waterfalls for a long weekend will likely mean an abundance of outdoor adventures, fun activities, extraordinary events, great live music and post-holiday shopping options to chase away any lingering winter blues.
Welcome to 2015!
