In case you missed it: Mike Wuthrich, "The Making of an International Educator" |
"Part of what I do, if I'm successful as an international educator, is that I try to be a cross-cultural intermediary. I see myself and my own experiences and the different things that I've done, and I want to be the person that helps to make the world relevant to another kid from Whitewater, Kansas--people that don't necessarily know it all. I want to get them to care and to understand our global humanity, the things that we share, and, of course, the distinctiveness and interesting facets of each place and each community."
Michael Wuthrich, 2024 recipient of the Woodyard International Educator Award, gave an inspiring talk about his path to international education on April 22.
