IPSR Research Luncheon: Current Research & Scholarship in the Field(s) of Indigenous Education, Friday, Feb. 7, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Dr. Alex Red Corn, Associate Vice Chancellor, Office of Sovereign Partnerships and Indigenous Initiatives, Director and Associate Professor, Indigenous Studies Program, will offer an overview of scholarship he is engaged in related to Indigenous peoples in education. Specifically, he will outline some work being done related to Indigenous peoples in rural contexts, American Indian and Alaska Native student data issues, the role of tribal education departments and agencies in the educational landscape, and a working capacity building model he’s developing related to “Liberating Sovereign Potential."
