Welcome to Haverford, Class of 2030 families, and welcome back to our returning families! We hope you and your student had a restful summer. Throughout the academic year, this bi-monthly newsletter for families will bring you campus updates, news, events, and opportunities to stay connected with Haverford.
Looking ahead, we are excited to welcome students back to campus in the coming weeks. Pre-season student-athletes will begin arriving on campus on Monday, August 17, with cross country athletes joining on Sunday, August 23. Several pre-Customs groups will arrive on Thursday, August 20 and Friday, August 21, followed by first-year and transfer students to campus on Wednesday, August 26, marking the start of Customs, Haverford’s New Student Experience program.
Returning students will be welcomed back to campus on Saturday, August 29, ahead of the start of classes on Monday, August 31, 2026.

As part of Haverford College’s Distinguished Visitors Program, join us on campus for a discussion with M. Gessen. Registration is required and you will be required to show photo ID with a name that matches your registration to enter Marshall Auditorium. An option to register to attend virtually will be available soon.

In their most recent update, The Presidential Search Committee shared that the process remains on track to have our next president assume office on July 1, 2027, with an announcement coming well in advance of that date.
