Facing the issues most plaguing our community... together
Marlene Bessette
Dear Friends,
It is nearly impossible to turn on the news without hearing a report about the horrific opioid epidemic that is plaguing our country. In this issue, we provide a spotlight on CFC’s Addiction Treatment programs, which are on the frontlines of this battle, serving over 2,700 people last year.

You have heard this from me before, we could not do this without you - loyal donors, volunteers, partner agencies and staff. Today, I am so pleased to share a special story of a 40-year volunteer and staff member, who we celebrate on behalf of all of you who have brought your talents to CFC over the years. We highlight some examples of the results of your gifts, including the stories of our 2018 refugee youth scholarship winners, and how we are able to design services to meet the changing needs of our clients as they face some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.

In gratitude for your continued support and prayers,
Marlene

CFC announces scholarship winners

Thanks to your support, two very worthy young adults were awarded a scholarship to continue their education. Both of these young adults came to the U.S. as unaccompanied refugee minors and we are so proud of their work and achievements and grateful to the foster families who offered them refuge and love.
