Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024 - PSU Park Blocks

Party in the Park is Portland State University's annual fall quarter student engagement

fair. Join the VRC in the PSU Park Blocks to learn about PSU's amazing student organizations, leadership opportunities, jobs, internships, volunteering, and on-campus events.

Party in the Park will feature tables from the various Resource Centers found at Portland State, including a booth for the PSU Veteran Resource Center and the Portland VA, complete with information and swaggy swag!

Looking for some free food? Visit tables hosted by PSU student organizations, campus resources and community partners to earn tickets. Gather four tickets and head over to the lunch line to grab your meal!!

Awesome food from PSUEats starting at 12pm. The VRC Open House will be a great opportunity to explore our space, meet fellow Veterans, and connect with key community partners like the Portland VA. Curious about what we have to offer? Stop by and get to know the resources available to support you!

Have you ever stopped and thought, "Hmm, it sure would be nice if the VRC had ________?" It could be anything: more food in the space, longer Coffee-Talk hours, etc. Do you wish we did physical events, such as yoga or climbing nights, or just more events in general? Well now's your chance to tell us what you think. The VRC wants to hear from you!

September 19th-20th, 2024

The VRC will be closed entirely for training on both the 19th of Sept and the 20th of Sept, but don't worry! Our physical space and Zoom virtual desk and our phones will be open again on the 23rd to answer any of your questions.

Interested in getting up-close and personal with the benefits cerification process? Do you enjoy helping others, especially other veterans and their dependents? Are you enrolled for the 2024 Fall term at LEAST 3/4th-time and utilizing a VA Education benefit? Submit a copy of your resume and a completed VA Work Study Application to the Veterans Certification Team via email at vetcert@pdx.edu today!

Want to get involved with the Veteran community at PSU? Become a VRC Advisory Board Member! On the second Friday of each month, the board meets to help advise, recommend actions, and vote on matters related to the VRC and those we serve. All PSU community members are welcome!

As of September 30th, 2024, the VRC will be returning to it's regular hours. Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, our doors will be open with coffee in the pot.  Make sure to stop by and let us wish you a happy Fall!
