It's an Exciting Time to Be at St. Michael's!
Everywhere you turn, exciting things are happening in and outside of our classrooms!
  • Topping out an incredible season, our Middle School girls' JV basketball team handily won the league championship against Collegiate. Dragon Pride! 
  • Our third graders brought history to life with their Living History wax museum.
  • Fourth graders embarked on a STEM engineering challenge to build arcade games
  • Our Middle Schoolers shared their gifts and talents during "Open Mike."

Monday is a Holiday!
A friendly reminder that St. Michael's will be closed on Monday, January 20 for the Presidents' Day holiday. Have fun and we'll see you on Tuesday!
Hooray for Good Books! Middle School Book Fair!

The SMPA is excited to announce the MS Book Fait on Wednesday-Thursday, March 15 and 16!
  • Time: 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. in the Middle School Library
  • All MS students will visit the Book Fair during their scheduled English class. Parents are welcome anytime.
  • The Fair will also include preliminary Summer Reading and required genres for 6th-8th graders.
  • SCA Outreach- Book Drive to benefit Community in Schools of Richmond (CIS) and Binford Middle School.  Donate your gently used middle school level books the week of the Fair or donate towards a new book.  Each donation earns a raffle ticket. Two raffle prizes include middle school books, a bbgb gift card and other fun treats!

Middle School play tickets are now on sale for "The Trial of Miz Margaret Millicent Malone." Tickets are $3 and may be purchased from Erbie Godwin in the MS office.

By turns a comedy, a coming of age tale, a spoof of courtroom drama, and a poignant story that reminds us that senior citizens are just as vulnerable as children, "The Trial Of Miz Margaret Millicent Malone" is a play that will delight kids and parents alike.

Show times are Friday and Saturday, February 24 and 25 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, February 26 at 2:00 p.m.

2017 St M Summer Spectacular Camps 
Welcome to summer camp, St. Michael’s-style! For children ages 4 through rising eighth grade.
Explore your creative side. Learn an instrument. Embrace the outdoors. Experiment with science. Get active with sports. 
Half day (9 a.m.-noon) and full day (9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) options available. Eight sessions will be offered from June 12 - August 11.

Morning Programming: 9 a.m.- noon.
• Classes in art, writing/STEM, science, outdoor adventures, cooking, video/digital arts, music, rocketry, sports and more.

Afternoon Extended Play (for Rising Grades K-5): Noon- 4:30 p.m. 
• Splash and swim at the Bon Air Community Center pool, seasonal arts and crafts, indoor/outdoor free play, organized summer games, and more. 
• Campers should bring a bagged lunch.

We welcome ALL children. You do not need to be enrolled at St. Michael’s to attend Summer Camp.

Birthday Books
The presentation of Birthday Books to the Lower School library is a special tradition at St. Michael's. Each year, students may choose a favorite book from a bookstore, by special order through the library, or from a selection of new books set aside in the library, The second assembly will be held on the Bon Air Campus on Thursday, March 16. The deadline to submit Birthday Books is February 23.  If you have questions, please contact Carol Wise.
Spring Sports/Co-Curriculars SIGNUPS CLOSE 2/20 
The FINAL DATE to sign up for Spring sports and co-curriculars is MONDAY, FEBRUARY 20! Don't miss out!

Need Spring Break Childcare?
St. M is partnering with Challenge Island to offer an exciting week of ISLAND-inspired camp!  A minimum number of registrants is needed to hold the camp. Contact Allyson Steele, Director of Extended Programs, with questions.
  • When: March 6-10
  • Time: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Where: St. Michael’s Episcopal School (Extended Programs Wing) 
  • Fee: $75 per day or $350 for full week (sign up for one day or all 5!)

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper

Open to Rising 7th through 12th Graders. Cost: $300 /person - Early Bird Rate
