Dear Friend,
Thank you to all those who have joined and supported our work in the past few weeks. We count on your memberships and year-end donations to fund our current programs and the variety of projects we have planned for next year, that will enhance your experience in Oregon’s parks and forests so that everyone will have access to enjoy nature.
This past year, Oregon Parks Forever had a significant effect on restoring the natural beauty of our state by funding the replanting over 804,000 trees through our Wildfire Replanting Fund; in conjunction with this restoration, our newest program, We Care For Parks, organized 50 volunteers for help rebuilding Minto County Park, near Gates, OR.
Yet, there is so much more we want to accomplish in 2024 and your donations make it possible.
Promoting healthy lifestyles, we have provided ten electric all-terrain Track Chairs, free for people with mobility challenges on the Oregon Coast. Yet, there is so much more we want to accomplish in 2024 and your donations make it possible.
Won't you join now and help us with our plans for the future?
Protect and upgrade parks’ existing facilities and amenities – By improving park facilities and creating innovative programs, park visitors, especially children, will have more meaningful experiences, leading to lifelong connections to our parks and forests.
Provide healthy outdoor activities – TRACK Trails are a type of environmental treasure hunt for young children and their families to be active outdoors, offering a series of self-guided activities that turn an ordinary hike into a fun-filled, discovery-packed adventure. This past year we have installed TRACK Trails in local parks in LaGrande, Clackamas, Newport, and Dallas, OR. There are now 14 Track Trails in Oregon. Our goal is to install 50 Track Trails across the state. You can read more on orparksforever.org and sign up for our newsletter. To continue our work, we need supporters like you, please consider becoming a member and making a tax deductible donation.
Adding amenities such as hiker-biker shelters where campers can recharge their phones, fix bikes, and have a locker for food and valuables, will make stays longer and more enjoyable. And they are available on a first-come basis, no reservations! We heard thanks from our two-wheeled friends that Oregon has the best bike camps on the coast trail.
Educate the future stewards of our public lands – our Ticket2Ride, covering transportation for underserved schools to visit our parks, and at the Cottonwood Crossing Summer Institute, our scholarships help kids learn about solar energy.
We hope you will remember how much Oregon’s parks and forests mean to you and future generations, when considering your year-end tax deductible giving this year. Please make a gift today to help us enhance the experience at Oregon’s parks and forests – creating enjoyable experiences in our parks and forests for everyone.
Thank you for being our partner and donating generously.
