Good morning! Clemson was announced as the No. 2 Military Friendly School among Tier 1 research institutions, its highest ranking ever. The Literary Festival starts this week, an associate professor creates an exhibit to explore the role of AI in graphic communications and more.

What to know today:

Clemson has earned a No. 2 national ranking as a 2025-26 Military Friendly® School. Clemson improved five spots from last year’s ranking among Tier 1 research institutions in earning its second-straight Top 10 designation.

This Saturday, military-connected student organizations are hosting the 10th annual Mile of Honor at 8:30 a.m. The event is free and open to the public. Registration is available online, with the first 200 attendees receiving a free Mile of Honor t-shirt.

The role of AI in industry is changing and evolving daily, raising questions about creativity and originality. Carl Blue, associate professor of graphics communications at the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business, recently created an exhibit showcasing AI's versatility in graphic communications.

The Clemson Literary Festival returns this week, with National Book Award winner Percival Everett as the headliner. Now in its 18th year, the festival is organized by students in the Department of English under the direction of principal lecturer and faculty advisor John Pursley.

The Nook is partnering with the Give Day campaign to help boost donations for University colleagues in need of the employee-focused pantry ahead of the summer months. Opened this past November, The Nook is a volunteer-driven, compassionate and confidential resource for faculty and staff facing food insecurity.
