More Back to School Information
LOG IN TO POWERSCHOOL
St. Michael's K-8 families should check their mailboxes this week for a letter from the School regarding PowerSchool, our student information system. The letter will provide family specific login information and all K-8 families will need to set up their accounts as soon as possible.
PowerSchool will be used to access St. Michael's Magnus Health Portal for daily health screenings and Back to School forms. PowerSchool also enables families in grades 6-8 to have access to online grades.
Detailed information will be sent out via email next week regarding directions on how to use the Magnus Health portal.
EXTENDED DAY BEGINS WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2
Extended Day officially begins on the first FULL day of school, Wednesday, September 2. There will be no Extended Day or Morning Gym on Monday, August 31, or Tuesday, September 1.
NOTE: There will be four days in the academic calendar between the start of school and Thanksgiving where one cohort of students will not come to campus. This will allow time for faculty meetings and professional development that are not possible due to the extension of the school day from 3:00 to 3:45 p.m. Extended Day IS NOT OPEN during these faculty meeting times.
• Wednesday, September 23 – No morning cohort (No morning in-person learning nor morning Extended Day. Extended Day afternoon services opens at 12:10 p.m. with carpool dropoff)
• Wednesday, October 7** – No afternoon cohort (No afternoon in-person learning nor afternoon Extended Day. Morning Extended Day dismisses at 11:15 a.m.)
• Tuesday, October 27** – No morning cohort (No morning in-person learning nor morning Extended Day. Extended Day afternoon services open at 12:10 p.m. with carpool dropoff)
• Thursday, November 12** – No afternoon cohort (No afternoon in-person learning nor afternoon Extended Day. Morning Extended Day dismisses at 11:15 a.m.)
