• Governor Henry McMaster is designating May 3-9 as South Carolina Public Servant Recognition Week. Several organizations across the state, including the Greenville Drive and Columbia Fireflies, are offering discounts and events for state employees to celebrate state employees.

• Sarah Custer has been named the executive director of Emergency Management. Custer returns to Clemson after having previously led the University's Office of Emergency Management for nearly seven years.

• The Clemson Alumni Association will recognize five distinguished individuals with its highest honor, the Distinguished Service Award, during a May 2026 ceremony. The award celebrates those whose personal and professional accomplishments, dedication to Clemson and commitment to community service exemplify the University’s highest ideals.

Clemson University is renowned for its groundbreaking research programs and initiatives across its various offerings including the University's pre-law program. Housed in the College of Arts and Humanities, the program is available to students in any major, providing opportunities to apply skills alongside another major while pursuing law careers.
