Halloween Fun
Monday, October 31 is not only Halloween, but it is also a dress code Dragon Day!
Students are welcome to wear any above the waist St. Michael's spiritwear (including team jerseys or athletic shirts) to show their Dragon pride.
In celebration of Halloween, students may also wear Halloween shirts or dresses with Halloween emblems, theme headbands, witch hats, and Halloween colors. (No masks or costumes please unless you are participating in the Kindergarten costume parade.)
We are looking forward to a wonderful Monday filled with St. Michael's spirit!

| Join us for "Meetings with Michael"
Join Mr. Turner to discuss "How to ask about recess: Partnering with teachers to support children's social-emotional growth." Play, especially unstructured play, offers children the opportunity to practice social skills and deepen emotional maturity. Understanding one's own emotions, interpreting and responding to others emotions, decision-making, creativity, and communication are all on display and in demand on the playground.
Merrill Geier, our Lower School coordinator, will share how St M supports children as they learn to apply lessons in empathy, enabling them to create positive social/emotional relationships before, during, and after recess.
- Wednesday, November 2, 1:40-2:40 p.m., (Lower School, Dundas Hatcher Hall)
- Thursday, November 3, 7:20 a.m.-8:20 a.m. (Lower School, Dundas Hatcher Hall)

The Lower School Fruit and Vegetable Challenge Starts This Week!
The Lower School will once again be participating in the fruit and vegetable challenge starting on November 1st.
For the first 3 weeks in November, students who eat a serving of fruits or vegetables for either lunch or snack will receive a grade-specific sticky note. Students will bring their notes to the gym during P.E. and line them up along the wall. The grade with the most notes at the end of the month will earn an extra P.E. class and fruit party. Students will additionally be discussing in P.E. class the importance of eating a well- balanced diet that includes a variety of fruits and vegetables.
