Our summer camp program is growing
Due to the overwhelming popularity of our summer camps we are expanding our program for this coming summer. (Last year's Melodrama Camp was filled within two hours of opening up registration; sadly, we had to turn quite a few kids away.) This year we will be adding a brand new camp especially for 9 - 11 year-olds so we have spots available for more young actors and actresses this year!
Here are the dates and details of this year's offerings:
S.P.A.R.K. (New for 2017)
A one-week performing arts academy especially for ages 9 –11
culminating in a final showcase performance on the CT stage
June 19 - 23, 2017 /  9:00 am to 2:00 pm

A one-week theatre camp for ages 5 – 8
June 26 - 30, 2017 / 9:00 am to 11:30 am

A two-week theatre performance camp for ages 12 –14
culminating in three public performances of an original melodrama
July 10 - 21, 2017 /  weekdays 9:00 am to 3:30 pm
with performances on July 21 & 22 at 7:00 pm and July 23 at 2:30 pm.

Registration for all three camps will start on May 1.

Calling all actors! Mark your calendars for our next auditions. In May we'll hold auditions for our August production of Neil Simon's extremely funny play based on short stories by Anton Chekhov.  (The unlikely pairing of these writers alone is enough to make you laugh . . . . )

Saturday, May 20 at 6:00 pm
Sunday, May 21 at 6:00 pm
2017 Annual Fund campaign kicks off with Curtains
When the cast of Curtains sings "the show must go on!" we couldn't agree more. But what does it take to keep a community theatre running year-round?
Well, it takes the "special kind of people known as show people" — as well as some honest-to-goodness cash to keep Cottage Theatre humming. Even when we pack the house, ticket sales cover only 65% of what it costs this theatre to operate.
This is the time of year we come to you, our valued patrons and volunteers, and ask you to invest in the magic of live theatre by making a contribution to our 2017 Annual Fund. Donations in any amount are very much appreciated and help keep great shows like Curtains happening on our stage year-round. Thanks for the important role you play in keeping community theatre thriving!
