Hello Name,
On Saturday, October 4th, I had the honor of joining a group of incredible riders in Napa, CA—and so many more across the country—all moving forward with one shared goal: finding a cure for UCDs. Some of us were full of excitement, others quietly soaking in the beauty around us, and some rode with tender memories of loved ones close to their hearts.
This is why we ride—to bring hope and a brighter future to children born with UCDs.
As I pedaled, I couldn’t help but think about what drives us at NUCDF every day: making sure families have the information they need to prevent the unthinkable, funding research that brings us closer to a cure, and working alongside our partners to support life-changing treatments.
To everyone who cycled, walked, ran, or scooted with us—thank you for showing up and turning hope into action. And to all who supported Cure the Cycle through your generous donations—thank you for helping us build a brighter future for every child and family living with a UCD.
The event was a success, raising over $43,000 to help in our fight against urea cycle disorders. You can view pictures from the event on our recap page, which is live on our website. Take a look here: Cure the Cycle Recap
The heart of my ride was this community, this mission, and this unshakeable hope for a cure. Thank you for being a part of our life’s work.
With gratitude,
Tresa Warner
NUCDF Executive Director
