Share The Warmth

Now through 11/23 we will be collecting new and gently used, clean winter outerwear for all ages and sizes. Donations can be placed in the big red box in the Welcome Center.

No Annual Rate Increase

The Y will not increase membership rates at the onset of 2021. We will evaluate economic conditions as the year progresses and make changes accordingly. Ample notice will be given before any changes are made.

Lost and Found

The Lost and Found table in the Welcome Center is overflowing. There are multiple jackets, water bottles, and other items. Please check this area ASAP as any remaining items as of December 1 will be donated to a local organization.

Giving Tuesday

With the significant drop in membership due to COVID19 fears, the Y is relying on donations in order to continue serving the local community. We'll be participating in a statewide YMCA Giving Tuesday campaign on December 1st with a one day goal of raising $6,000! If you haven't had the chance to make a gift to the Y yet, this is a perfect opportunity.

Private Swim Lessons

Youth ages 5-12 can receive individualized instruction with one of our trained, experienced instructors. Each individual participant  is limited to 4 private lessons during the upcoming session (12/1 - 12/22). Click here for full details and registration options. Registration opens Monday, 11/23 at 6:30AM.

Congrats to David W of Trumansburg who won our Halloween Trunk-or-Treat bike raffle!

Check out this article from Rob Totaro at the Alliance of New York State YMCAs. YMCAs have proven statewide that they are operating safely and that COVID is not being spread at our facilities. Government officials and the media are haphazardly lumping all gyms and fitness centers together and continue to falsely state that they are a primary source of COVID spread. We are confident that our Y is one of the safest public places you'll find in Tompkins County with access control, staff and participant screening, equipment spacing, mask enforcement, and strict cleaning standards and schedules.
