In line with Denver Water's August 26 decision, lawn watering will no longer be allowed beginning October 1, 2026.

All other Stage 1 water restrictions remain in effect. No new seed / sod planting variances will be permitted this fall.

Olde Town Arvada has an average 92% on-street parking occupancy rate during peak times, leading to more circling, congestion, and safety concerns as spaces turn over less frequently.

The City is considering paid parking, a strategy to keep prime spots turning over, ease congestion, and improve access to nearby businesses. The current parking program is subsidized with general tax dollars. Paid parking asks the people visiting the area to help fund parking operations.

Habitat for Humanity is selling affordable townhomes near Olde Town Arvada! Griffith Station Homes features 3- and 4-bedroom townhomes, each with a garage. The townhomes are within walking distance of local businesses, schools, green spaces, and the Olde Town G Line station and are priced under $300K.

For example, Council generally has specific criteria it must use to make its decision in public hearings, so check the City Council meeting packet before you testify. In the Sept. 1 City Council business meeting, Council discussed and approved funds for an intergovernmental agreement to bring an early wildfire detection system to the city, approved a service plan for a new metropolitan district, renewed contracts for City appointees, and recognized co-responders and service dogs.
