SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

Below is a general set of instructions on how to operate the new system.

1. Your first step will be to create a family profile. After creating the profile you will get an email link that will give you your username and a temporary password. You will be able to change the password once you log in using the temporary one.

2. Next, you will add camper information for each of your children. You will have the abillity to upload a picture of the child for their profile page. (This is completely optional.) (You will need to enter yourself as a camper if you plan to attend Mother/Daughter, Father/Son, Fishing or Family camp.)

3. Once a camper is added you will be asked to fill out the yearly forms that include: medical, allergy and church information. They are a combination of yes/no, short answer, date, and multiple choice questions.

4. The next step will be to enroll in the chosen camp session(s). Once camps fill up you will automatically be put on the waitlist. You will be asked to fill out the coupon code for your church and put in your credit card information if there is a balance. (If you are waitlisted it will still have you enter the CC info but you will not be charged unless a spot opens for your child.)

5. Once all of that is complete you will get an automatic email confirmation to the email address you provided. Be sure to check your junk and spam folders if you don't see the email in your inbox.

Below is a list of fundraisers to help raise money for the flooring project.

The first project we are going to raise money for is new flooring in the gym and classrooms. That building was built in 2002 and has the original flooring. It's time. We are also going to work on our dining room floor, by stripping, sanding, waxing and adding an epoxy coating. The total cost of these three areas is $34,000. Our hope is to have this raised by the Fall, so we can have this finished by the 2024 season.

We also have someone that is giving the camp a $5,000 matching challenge for the flooring project through the month of March. If you can help with this, click the donate button below or send a check and put in the memo Flooring match.

From the Camp Director,

We are really getting excited about Summer Camp 2023. We are close to getting all of our staff hired for the summer, we still need a couple of guys for program staff- must be 18, you can apply on our website. Jim Morgan and his team are working on the Hanging Rock Hilton remodel and hope to be finished by the end of this month.

I would love to encourage our supporting churches to really work on getting your kids signed up for camp this summer.

I hear all the time that camp is what so many call the highlight of their summer. It’s that one week away from home that is still the hub of conversation when school starts again. From flying off the zipline to worship services and evening games, there is an endless stream of fun. But it is also the place where so much learning and growth happens.

“…how to canoe.” “…how to shoot a bow and arrow.” “…how to play gaga ball.”

Hanging Rock is a great place to learn some basic skills during experiences that are hard to find elsewhere. I bet you didn’t know you were good at canoeing or archery. Things like climbing the rockwall, zip lining, and the countless camp-specific games are staples during camp week. And where else can you learn the perfect chocolate to marshmallow ratio for a s’more? Campers can discover all kinds of things they are good at, that they wouldn’t otherwise even have the chance of trying. Plus, trying new things is a great way to learn about yourself.

“…how to lead.” “…how to listen.” “…how to make friends.” “…about teamwork.”

The best part is that these skills are learned in a safe setting that helps nurture their growth.

“…about God.” “…how to pray.” “…to live by faith.” “…to read the Bible.” “…to trust God.”

Most importantly, Hanging Rock is where kids learn about God. Worship services, Bible studies and all other camp activities combine to teach campers how to live a Christian life with God. Even for those that don’t get baptized or called into ministry at camp, their lives are still changed forever by the impact this event makes.

No matter what a child learns at camp, the overall benefit is that they are gaining their own relationship with God.
