New LMS Name Announced: CavClass Wins! |
It was a close race, but the tallies are in, and CavClass has “eked” out a victory as the official name for Walsh University’s new learning management system. In the vote, CavClass received 80 votes, CavAcademy earned 75, and Walsh Learning Lab received 30.

Walsh Students Stand with the Cardinal Newman Society at the Supreme Court |
Walsh University scholar-athletes recently joined the Cardinal Newman Society and students from Christendom College at the U.S. Supreme Court as justices heard arguments in cases that could determine whether states can protect women’s sports. While the Court weighed the future of women’s athletics, the students stood at the courthouse steps alongside hundreds of protestors, holding signs that read “Protect women’s sports. Biology matters,” and “Our Sports. Our Spaces.”
The Newman Guide Defender program, led by Bob Laird, brought together faithful Catholic students to witness and defend truth in a moment when basic biological realities are being challenged. This was a powerful demonstration of why Catholic education matters and why students must be formed to stand courageously for truth. Read More

Human Trafficking Awareness Month: Progress Through Prevention and Partnership |
As we close Human Trafficking Awareness Month in partnership with Not For Sale: One Step at A Time, we reflect on meaningful progress made this month at the state level. Governor Mike DeWine announced two new initiatives focused on early identification and prevention for at-risk youth, including a pilot program embedding specialized anti-trafficking caseworkers within children services agencies in Cuyahoga, Hamilton, and Montgomery counties, as well as a trauma-informed, non-police response initiative in Montgomery County designed to address the root causes of youth running away or going missing. Together, these efforts strengthen collaboration, improve screening, and support, and prioritize compassion and early intervention to help vulnerable children find safety, stability, and hope.
