The Mardi Gras–themed celebration will be filled with spirit events, service opportunities, alumni engagement, and basketball games. This year’s festivities blend campus traditions with New Orleans–inspired flair, offering a full week of activities designed to bring Jaguars together.

Get your steps in and engage in a little friendly competition on campus! Join the 6-week Staff and Faculty Wellness Walking Challenge.
To participate, please submit the name of each employee and their department to employeebenefits@tamusa.edu before the deadline of March 1.
Each team must have five team members per team. Student workers are welcome to participate as part of teams. More information will be provided to teams once sign up has been completed.
The walking challenge will take place March 15 – April 30.

Texas A&M University-San Antonio Announces Addition of Six Varsity Sports to Athletics Program |
The University announced the largest athletics expansion in its history, adding six varsity sports—men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field, and men’s and women’s cross country—beginning in 2026–27. The addition will grow Jaguar Athletics to 12 varsity programs and increase participation to nearly 200 student-athletes.
