If you're planning to arrive the evening before, please join us for a leisurely Costume Society of America Regional Meetup on Friday, July 29th at 6pm. All are welcome and refreshments will be provided as Augusta Auction's very own Edward Maeder explores the rapidly changing silhouette of the period from 1840-1900 in his fun and informal lecture “TIED TO BE FIT: The Victorian Obsession With Fashion Perfection”. If you're interested in the use of foundational garments in the Victorian Era including corsets, crinolines, cages, sleeve supports and petticoats you'll love this talk. Plus cheese, wine and charcuterie will be provided!

Even though we won't be offering online bidding, we've photographed twenty lots from random boxes to give you an idea of what's in store. This catalog of items that we "discovered" can be pre-viewed on our website here. The 20+ groupings pictured on the website are there just to tease you - illustrating a taste of what will be included in this amazing sale. Imagine what we'll find in the other 200+ boxes we've put aside. Join us next week to find out!
Both days we will begin promptly at 11 AM. Sales each day will last four to five hours. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch so you won't miss your opportunity to comfortably bid as the museum and estate boxes are opened.
For those traveling to our studio from out of the area, we have posted travel information, directions and links to local hotels and B&Bs in the region. This information is also on our website. Sales end mid-afternoon each day to allow time to explore beautiful southern Vermont - great sightseeing, restaurants, shops, quaint inns, and exceptional architectural treasures all around us.
