Kimberly Poole ’95, M ’02, Ph.D. ’14 has been named associate vice president and dean of students. Poole was selected for the position following a national search and starts her new role April 1. She assumes the role after serving as assistant vice president and senior associate dean of students.

First-year chemistry major Lukas Garcia (pictured middle right) and junior computer engineering major Samuel Quan (pictured middle left) were the first-place winners of the annual College of Science Catalyst Competition. Their winning pitch was the creation of Crystal-XG, an artificial intelligence-aided approach to determining optimal growing conditions for individual crystals.

- The Clemson ROTC Female Light Team (pictured above) claimed first place in their division at the 2025 Bataan Memorial Death March Marathon, an annual commemoration of the Bataan Death March consisting of a 26.2 mile route.
- Matthew Vickers representing the Pershing Rifles came in first place in the Individual Civilian Heavy Male 19 and under division (wearing a 35-pound rucksack). Major Kelly Casey, a member of Clemson's Army ROTC cadre, also placed first out of 85 participants in the Individual Military Female Light division.

Today is the last day for faculty and staff to register for mammograms, which are being offered April 9 at Prisma Health’s mammography bus outside of Edwards Hall. Clemson Rural Health staff will also provide cervical and colorectal cancer screenings as indicated by a patient’s health history.
