Shakespeare with a Havana twist
Excitement is mounting as we get ready for the opening of our brand new season this Friday, January 30. First up this year is a production of Shakespeare's 12th Night, set in 1950s Havana, Cuba. Read more about this play and join us. Director Tony Rust has a knack for making Shakespeare understandable even to those of us who find the language intimidating, so don't be shy about giving this production a try. Besides, we have an on-stage band and colorful 1950s costumes to liven things up!

Raise a glass and toast our new season!

Tickets now on sale for Rhythm & Blues
From February 19th through 22nd, Cottage Theatre will be bursting with the talents and energy of close to 100 teenagers! They'll be performing or volunteering at the 14th  Metropolitan Rhythm & Blues Revue, an annual fundraiser for the Cottage Grove High School music program. The high school's Jazz Band, Jazz Combo, and Shades of Jazz Choir will be joined on stage by professional adult musicians from our community in a high-energy concert that features instrumental, vocal, and dance numbers.
Several of last year's R&B concerts were completely sold-out, so we encourage you to order your tickets soon. And if you haven't been to one of these concerts before, we strongly suggest you check out this year's version. Tickets are just $15 for Adults and $12 for Seniors and Youth, and all proceeds go directly to the Cottage Grove High School music program, to help purchase sheet music, instruments, stands, and the other incidentals it takes to run a quality program. Join us!
February 19, 20, and 21 at 7:00 pm (please note earlier start time for this event)

Want to direct a play in 2016?
We are now accepting proposals from directors who are interested in submitting a play for consideration in our 2016 season. We typically program three musicals and three plays each year, with a mix of comedies and dramas. Prospective directors are invited to submit more than one title, as that will increase the odds of gaining a slot in the season. 2016 play submissions are due on March 1. More information is available on our website.

Announcing our next cast
We send congratulations to our Les Misérables cast — and our thanks to the 70(!) people who auditioned for this epic show. Director Alan Beck had to make some tough casting decisions given such a strong audition turnout!
Tickets for Les Misérables, which won the 1987 Tony Award for Best Musical, will go on sale March 10. There will be 15 performances from April 10 through May 3. Tickets are $26 for adults and $22 for youth ages 6 to 18.
