As we reach the midpoint of the year, it is a natural time to reflect on the progress we have made and the momentum that carries us forward. Teams across A&F continue to take on new challenges, drive meaningful work, and support the Institute in impactful ways. This month’s staff profiles highlight individuals who are building on that momentum by sharing what they have accomplished so far this year and what they are looking forward to in the months ahead.

The University System of Georgia’s Unified Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program team continues to make steady progress through the Architect and Configure phase, which will continue through the calendar year.  

This fall, the Institute will implement market-based pay adjustments for faculty and staff using $10.2 million of general operating funds from the fiscal year 2027 budget allocation. Although not all employees will receive an increase through this exercise, this is the most significant single-year investment toward base–pay increases in at least five years and demonstrates our commitment to prioritizing our workforce. 

Georgia Tech Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) is helping prepare the next generation of safety leaders through a newly launched Lab and Workplace Safety Certificate Program, a yearlong initiative designed to strengthen laboratory safety culture and promote proactive, people‑centered approaches to risk management.

Registration is open for the annual Kaiser Permanente Run, Walk, Roll on Sept. 24. Register to join the University System of Georgia (USG) team, and the USG will cover $25 of the registration cost when you use the discount code "Team USG."

Final deadline to register for Team USG is Aug. 3.

ASPIRE, one of Georgia Tech’s premier leadership development programs, is accepting applications for its 2026 cohort. The ASPIRE program, a four-month blended learning experience beginning in September, is designed for Tech employees who do not currently have direct reports.
