What is your name?
Aakash Shah
Where was your internship located?
In Singapore at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

What was it like living in Singapore?
The food was excellent. Living in Singapore gives one the ability to travel to super interesting countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam. The cost of living is quite high though.
How has the experience influenced your career path?
I learned that I certainly wish to pursue a career in management consulting in emerging markets after graduation.
How did you hear about these opportunities?
Online searches.

What were your major tasks or projects?
I helped companies enter developing markets by understanding political and economic risks. My biggest project was analyzing long-term oil and gas potential in high-risk African, South Asian and Southeast Asian countries.
Any recommendations for GW students who want to intern/volunteer at the same company or country?
Brush up on Econ, have a strong work ethic and be prepared to work very long hours.
