⛄Find joy this winter at PSU |
Brighten your nights at the Winter Light Festival |
The Portland Winter Light Festival will brighten the city during the weeks of Feb. 6-14 with over 200 light installations, performances and interactive art. PSU is partnering with Portland-based animation studio LAIKA to bring the magic to campus: projections will light up Simon Benson House, LAIKA footage will animate Smith Memorial Union and illuminated trees will glimmer in the South Park Blocks around a tent with free cocoa. Creative Coding students will showcase their work at 6th and Jackson. Most events are free and walkable from campus.
The Alumni Association invites alumni, staff, faculty and students to the Simon Benson House on Friday, Feb. 13 to view the LAIKA installations. Enjoy sweet treats and warm beverages, take guided house tours or explore additional festivities in the Park Blocks. The first 100 attendees will receive a light-up Viking helmet.
