Your Fall Semester Wrapped... with Wellness! |
|
|
As we race to the finish line of the fall semester, we want to express our sincere gratitude for how our community has showed up and showed out for their wellbeing. 🌟
More importantly, we are so proud of how you show up for yourself! Each time you try something new, expand your knowledge, and connect with support, you invest in your holistic success... and we've seen it!
Here are just a few of the dramatic increases in engagement we have seen this semester:
|
- One on One Professional Support Sessions
- The Wellness Coaches had nearly 70 sessions this semester, a 30% increase from last fall
-
The Victim-Survivor Advocates gained 58 new clients this semester to support a total of 93 clients and offered 630 unique services including safety planning, academic support services, emotional supports with legal and Title IX cases
- Sexual Wellness
- The Pleasure Pack Delivery Service received 247 orders, distributing a total of 1600 barrier methods (condoms, oral dams, lubricants) across campus
-
Our STI and HIV clinics tested 145 students this fall and provided a total of 349 tests, a 56% increase from last fall

Get trained in Mental Health First Aid |
|
|
Mental Health First Aid USA is an evidence-based training that teaches participants how to identify, understand and respond to someone who is experiencing a mental health or substance-use challenge.
This $130 certification is active for 3 years and is free for University of Utah members thanks to the generous contributions of The Parent Fund.
Participants must complete both the 2 hour pre-work module (online) and attend both instructor-led sessions in its entirety to become certified with MHFA.
If you participate in the University's Well U program, completing MHFA will earn you a Well U credit.
|
- Next session: Dec. 17th & 18th | 9am to 1:30pm (Virtual)

Winter Recess Schedule Changes |
Starting the week after finals, the Center for Campus Wellness will transition to reduced hours to allow for rest and recovery as we enter the holiday season. All of our services will be available during this time, but in-person offerings will be limited by appointment only.
Our Student Service Building staff will be working entirely remote from December 22nd to January 2nd, but our services will still be available on campus at our Union Basement location during this time.
Note: During this time, the Pleasure Pack Delivery Service will be paused; however, supplies will be available for pickup from various locations, including the Wellness Exchange in the Peterson Heritage Center and the Basic Needs Collective.
The Wellness Exchange and Basic Needs resources will be accessible in person throughout the winter recess.
