Empty Bowls

Mark your calendars for November 7th, when we gather for one of our most cherished fundraisers! Our annual Empty Bowls event will include wonderful handmade bowls, a dinner of delicious soups from local restaurants, live music, and an online auction. Save the date now and we'll see you in November!

School Supplies Drive

Our annual School Supplies Drive is underway until August 16th! We aim to support hundreds of children to ensure they are prepared for a successful school year. Donations can be made through our Amazon Wishlist, with items shipped directly to our office. Alternatively, you can drop off school supplies in person. For questions or to arrange a drop-off, please contact allison.ewing@fcscharities.org.

Refugee Resettlement

Our Refugee Resettlement Department has had an extraordinarily busy year. Now through September, they will be welcoming 276 new refugees to Rochester, greeting them at the airport, securing and setting up living accommodations, and establishing longer-term support services. In 2024, CCFCS is expected to take in 1100 refugees, twice as many as last year. Refugee Resettlement is one of the traditional hallmarks of our mission and our work. We salute our Refugee team, including volunteers, for their incredible work.

Homeless Outreach

This summer CCFCS joined the Rochester Homeless Outreach Team at St. Joseph's Park for an Ice Cream Social. Together with our community partners, we handed out new clothes and offered services to the unhoused and people struggling with mental health issues.

Summer Appeal

Imagine having the power to change lives in an instant! Right now, you have that power. Thanks to the generosity of the Daisy Marquis Jones Foundation, every dollar you give will be matched twice- tripling your impact through August 31st! DONATE NOW. Thank you!

Thank you

for catching up with us!

At CCFCS, summer began with a wonderful event called An Evening with Friends. What a pleasure it was to come together to celebrate our work and our partnerships! That spirit of giving is also reflected in the beautiful response to our Summer Appeal and our School Supplies Drive, both underway. Thank you for supporting our mission, our programs, our staff, and most especially the people we serve. We hope you enjoy the rest of the summer!
