Clemson University’s military community will come together on Saturday, March 28, to host the 11th annual Mile of Honor, a one-mile walk honoring veterans on main campus. The event begins at 8:30 a.m. at the President’s Rotunda and ends at the Scroll of Honor Memorial next to the football stadium. The first 200 participants to register will be eligible for a free t-shirt.

Sophomore Lukas Garcia is representing Clemson in the ACC InVenture Prize competition with Crystal-XG, which has the potential to transform how scientists create and study crystals. Crystal-XG grew out of Catalyst, a Creative Inquiry course that teaches students how to identify business opportunities, translate ideas into products and pitch them to funders.

More than 100 South Carolina 4-H Pinckney Leadership Program participants and their families celebrated the program’s 10th anniversary during South Carolina 4-H Legislative Day at the State House. Jennifer Pinckney, widow of the late Sen. Clementa Pinckney, and their daughter, Malana Pinckney, who is also a member of the program, joined the celebration as the program was recognized in both chambers of the South Carolina General Assembly.
