|

Evaluation of the services provided by Texas CASA informs our organizational planning and designation of resources as well as helps to identify areas for improvement. Please take a moment (average of 5 to 8 minutes) to complete Texas CASA’s Annual Program Survey. Your input is greatly valued and each comment is reviewed by Texas CASA leadership. We are asking for the CASA network to complete the survey by Friday, October 20. The survey is open to executive directors, board members and staff.

Distinguished Speaker Series Final Episode Premiere

|
The last episode of the Distinguished Speaker Series premieres today at 11 a.m. CST! In this episode, you will get to meet Judge Aurora Martinez Jones, the 126th District Court judge in Travis County. This year's series is an opportunity for the CASA network and other community partners to learn about four honorable judges from across Texas as they share their backgrounds and expertise on topics and issues impacting the child welfare system.

Upcoming Community-Based Care Webinar

Texas CASA is partnering with the Texas Alliance of Child and Family Services and the Office of Community-Based Care Transition to host an informational webinar about Community-Based Care (CBC) on October 4, 2023 from 12 - 1:30 p.m. This webinar will provide information and insight into this ongoing transition while highlighting what CASA programs can expect during implementation and addressing any uncertainty about continuity with the new system.

New information on Qualified Residential Treatment Programs
|
|
|
|
Please join the STAR Team during our monthly Zoom on October 30, from 12 to 1 p.m., when we will host the DFPS Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) Program Lead to discuss everything you need and want to know about QRTP placements, including the referral and admission process, involvement of the different parties and how CASA can best advocate for youth in these placements. We will also share resources and helpful contact information.

TBRI Childhood Trauma Impact Conference

The Montgomery County Trauma-Informed Task Force invites you to the 2023 Childhood Trauma Impact Conference on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Church Project in The Woodlands, Texas. This one-day conference is more than sharing ideas; in addition to learning more about the efforts to address childhood trauma at the county, state and national levels, attendees will receive real tools and practices while earning CLE, CEU or TCOLE credits.
