Board of Directors Look to the Future

Each year, CAC’s Board of Directors convenes at the Secondary campus for the annual Board Retreat. They use this time to fellowship, review the past year and cast a vision for the future of the school. At this year’s retreat, the members and leadership were encouraged as they renewed their commitment to help CAC maintain the highest academic and spiritual standards.

“We always say we want to provide a uniquely Christian environment for our students, and I think Dr. Lambert and the Board have made that a renewed focus in the past couple of years,” Chairman of the Board Wesley Walls said. “Our Board retreat discussion this year spoke a lot to that mission and that goal, and part of that refocus is being more effective communicators with our faculty and staff. As a Board, we pray specifically for each of our teachers and staff members and partner with the Development Council to communicate in more meaningful ways.”

CAC's Newest Board Members

Q&A with Brandi Stafford

What are your expectations as you transition from the role of parent to a Board member?
First of all, I’m very humbled and honored that the Board saw me fit to join them. I’m excited about the opportunity to serve the CAC community because being a servant is my love language – doing things for others whether they know it’s been done or not – I really dig that.
Wherever I’m needed I’ll plug in and help. I don’t have any specific expectations or agenda, but I want to see the school keep growing and advancing, and where ever I can plug in and help I’ll do that.

Q&A with Stan Chapman

What are you excited to bring to the Board?
Having had kids go through CAC over the past 20 years, and still having one here who has all of her junior high and high school years ahead of her, I hope to bring a different perspective than those who haven't experienced that yet. Also, since I’m new to the Board, I hope to be able to bring some fresh perspectives from my own personal experiences in the business world.

I know several of the Board members and I have a tremendous amount of respect for them. I'm humbled to be asked to take part in this. I also feel very responsible, for not just my own kid, but the other kids too. That’s a big deal, particularly given the fact that I have such a strong belief in the Christian side of what CAC is. I want to be sure I bring the right things to that table because the decisions that the Board makes matter.

February 7, 2018. The North Little Rock Elementary campus Super Kinders got a chemistry lesson from high school chemistry teacher Mr. Schramm. They observed the three types of matter - gas, solid, liquid - in fun and interactive ways! Click here to see more photos.
"In the short time I’ve been at CAC, it’s quickly become family. From the teachers who take care of my kids to the students who laugh with me and their parents who encourage and support me, the love of Christ is evident in this place.
I’m grateful to call CAC home."
