MONDAY: ACHIEVEMENTS
IUP Athletics hires communications director; Yan publishes on the challenges of making rational choices; and more
An older man wearing a backpack, left, and a young man pointing at something to their right, both of whom are wearing shorts and T-shirts, leisurely ride their bikes on an otherwise-empty roadway/walkway on a college campus. Trees, bushes, and a red-brick building are in the background.
You’ve added a new stomping ground. Show your family around campus and town during Family Weekend, Friday through Sunday. Events include building tours, a scavenger hunt, the first home football game, bingo, and more. See the full schedule of activities.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Josh Hill, a 2016 IUP graduate and a Homer City native, will start Tuesday as director of Strategic Communications and Ideation in the Athletics Department. He replaces Ryan Rebholz, who left in July. Hill has held athletics communications posts at several universities, most recently at Stevenson University in Maryland.
Leo Yan, Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, published an article, “Seeming Incomparability and Rational Choice,” in the journal Politics, Philosophy, and Economics. In the article, he discusses the difficulty of making rational choices when each option seems to be neither better than, worse than, nor equal to the others.
