What a fantastic day at our 4-H Summer Day Camp!
Youth spent the day learning new skills, getting creative, and having fun with friends. Campers decorated their own t-shirts, learned about the importance of biosecurity, painted and assembled birdhouses, created beautiful beaded wind chimes, decorated fruit pizzas, and put their engineering and teamwork skills to the test by building LEGO foosball projects.
Campers also created cards for ADRC of Waushara County for the Meals on Wheels Program!
It was wonderful to see so much creativity, curiosity, and excitement throughout the day!
A huge THANK YOU to all of the volunteers who shared their time, talents, and energy to make this camp a success. We could not provide these opportunities without your support, and we are so grateful for all you do for our youth.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the day memorable. We hope the campers had as much fun as we did!

Waushara County 4-H Member Spotlight: Ellie on American Spirit!
Our own Ellie from Waushara County 4-H is having an incredible experience on the Wisconsin 4-H American Spirit trip!
One of the unique parts of American Spirit is that youth participants take the lead in sharing history with their fellow travelers. Recently, Ellie presented a "Teachable Moment" about Battery Park in New York City and its significance in American history, engaging her peers and helping bring history to life. Her creative approach even recruited fellow participants to help teach the lesson!
American Spirit is more than a history trip—it's a leadership experience where youth explore historic sites, develop public speaking skills, build confidence, and form friendships with 4-H members from across Wisconsin. Through these hands-on opportunities, participants learn not only about our nation's past but also how they can make a positive impact in their communities.
We are proud of Ellie for stepping up as a leader and representing Waushara County 4-H so well. We can't wait to hear more about her adventures and all she learns during this amazing experience!
