NCY Members' Commitment to Support Tomorrow Together
David Paine, President & Co-Founder of 9/11 Day of Observance, presented the concept of Tomorrow Together, a five-year global initiative building on the upcoming 15th anniversary of the 9/11 tragedies, to the National Collaboration for Youth (NCY) in Washington DC last week. The NCY voted to participate in the initiative, encouraging youth involved with its diverse member organizations to undertake service projects, interact with youth different from themselves, and promote humanity in general. NCY and the 9/11 group will plan a roll-out to youth-serving organizations in the coming months.

When using the new frame for human services, the Construction Metaphor provides a complete and easily understood definition of how human services promote both individual and community well-being. The metaphor can also help to explain the role of human services when conditions disrupt or impede well-being.
