As restrictions continue to be loosened and more staff are hired, our hours continue to grow. We will add an additional 2 hours per day to our weekday schedule starting Monday, May 17th. The new hours will be Monday - Friday, 6:00AM-12:00PM and 2:00PM- 8:00PM. We understand that members are eager for weekend hours to resume and we are working to hire staff in order to make that happen. At this time we are expecting to at least resume a limited Saturday schedule by mid-June.
While the CDC has issued new mask guidance for those who are vaccinated, New York State has not yet adopted it into their guidelines. Here at the Y we stand with our partners in community health by maintaining that masks are an important tool in keeping our members and guests safe as we work towards vaccinating all eligible youth and adults. Masks will continue to be required when visiting the YMCA until such time that we receive updated guidelines from the state and our local department of health. Member health and safety is our top priority and we appreciate your understanding as we continue to navigate this pandemic together.

The Y Is Hiring

In order to expand services to our membership and community in the weeks ahead we need to immediately hire more folks to serve in the following positions (weekdays and weekends):
- Camp Counselors
- Childcare Staff
- Cleaners
- Lifeguards
- Swim Instructors
- Welcome Center Representatives
We are seeking folks who are passionate about serving our community, enjoy interacting with people from all walks of life, and are committed to building a culture around the Y's main areas of focus: youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
Benefits for all positions include free YMCA membership, flexible schedules, program discounts, access to a nationally recognized employee retirement savings plan, paid sick leave, and great training opportunities!
Minimum starting pay range is $13-$15 per hour depending on position.
We believe that marginalized people in society — including people of color, people from working class backgrounds, women and LGBTQ people in our communities must be centered in the work we do. Hence, we strongly encourage applications from people with these identities or who are members of other marginalized communities.
Retirees and other active older adults encouraged to apply!

Please visit our careers page to download an application.

As local conditions continue to improve, we continue making every effort to expand our offerings. Our next round of group fitness classes will open for registration Monday, May 17th with new classes and returning favorites. While we will continue to require advance registration for members in order to manage occupancy restrictions, we will no longer charge members an additional fee for classes with the exception of some specialty classes, adding value back to your membership. Non-members are welcome to attend group fitness classes on a walk-in basis if they have purchased a morning or afternoon pass AND there is space still available.
