To Our Beloved Camp Community,

It is with a heavy heart that I write to share some news regarding in-person summer programs for the 2020 season. In keeping with current federal, state, and local regulations, and after thoughtful discussions with medical and camp professionals around the world (as well as our own St M Risk Committee), we have made the decision to cancel all in-person summer programs on St. Michael's campus for 2020.

We do have exciting virtual Camp-in-a-Box and Art-in-a-Box options

to facilitate summer creativity and fun and hope you will take advantage of them.

The decision to cancel these camps has been very difficult to make, as we balance our love of serving you and your children with maintaining the physical health and well-being of our community. Prior to the presence of COVID-19 and the stay-at-home orders, registrations for St. Michael's 2020 Summer Spectacular Camps were strong. Our amazing faculty and staff, including wonderful community partners, were looking forward to spending the summer with your child! The news of cancellations brings disappointment and sadness to all of us.

Discover Camp-in-a-Box!

We appreciate the overwhelming response to our April survey to gauge interest in the creation of virtual camps and classes. The responses gave us helpful feedback which led to the creation of our very own Camp-in-a-Box. Our virtual camps are designed to:

Promote community time & socialization among peers,
Limit screen time, and
Provide fun activities kids can complete at the convenience of the family's summer schedule.

Issuing Refunds

On July 1, we will begin the process of canceling registrations within our system and issuing refunds. Refunds will include all registration fees, tuition, and session options for in-person camps and classes. Please allow us a window of approximately four weeks to complete this complex process. You may expect to receive your refund by July 31. If you have multiple children or multiple registrations, you will receive multiple emails as we work through your account. If you need an expedited refund due to financial hardship, let us know.

We are saddened that we will not have the opportunity to share the 2020 Summer Spectacular Camp spirit in person this year. However, we are very excited for the opportunity to wear a new, virtual hat in the summer camp space. We appreciate your family and look forward to serving you with in-person summer programming in the future!
