Good morning! Clemson will hold Fall Convocation on Monday, August 18. Jim ’60 and Carolyn Willis Creel ’61 made a $2 million gift to name the Creel Family Auditorium in the Nieri Family Alumni and Visitors Center; check out the latest renovations to one of the University's high-rise residence halls. 

• Clemson University’s Fall Convocation for first-year and transfer students will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, August 18, at Littlejohn Coliseum. All faculty are encouraged to attend. The President's Cookout will follow from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Jim ’60 and Carolyn Willis Creel ’61 have made a lasting impact on Clemson University with a $2 million gift to name the Creel Family Auditorium in the newly opened Nieri Family Alumni and Visitors Center. 

• Clemson recently marked the fourth and final year of its Studies of Occupations, Culture and Innovations toward Agricultural Literacy (SOCIAL) Academy. The academy seeks to provide teachers with tools to integrate agriculture and history in their curricula to help improve students’ agricultural literacy while exposing them to careers in the food and agricultural sciences.

In the latest Tour Tuesday, the University offers an inside look at the newly renovated Manning Hall, the second of three high-rises in the Horseshoe to be renovated. The high-rise now includes a fully accessible layout for students with mobility disabilities, enhanced social spaces, new furniture and more.
