The Clinical Research Training Center (CRTC) recently welcomed faculty, scholars, and staff to the Hearth Room for a chance to get to know Nancy Sweitzer, MD, PhD. Appointed as CRTC Director in December, Dr. Sweitzer was excited to meet the community, and it was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to connect.

The Bench Fundamentals for Translational Research course introduces fellows-in-training and future physician scientists to the core principles of scientific investigation. This unique three-week intensive format will combine theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on applications to provide students with an understanding of common research approaches used in current scientific endeavors.

Jumpstart Your Career in Clinical Investigation |

This fall, the Clinical Research Training Center (CRTC) is launching Clinical Investigation Bootcamp, a 1-2 year program designed to cover the core competencies of clinical research and investigation! Get hands-on experience and build your expertise with this collection of 3 courses covering study design, statistical approaches, and scientific communication. Bootcamp credits can be applied toward the Clinical Investigation Graduate Certificate or Master of Science Degree.

We celebrate James Krings, MD, MSCI for his profound work in scientific research and his longstanding partnership with the Clinical Research Training Center (CRTC).
In a recent ICTS success highlight, he highlighted some CRTC programs as major contributors to his career success. From progressing through our MTPCI, MSCI, KL2, and MTIS programs to being a current Doris Duke scholar, Dr. Krings continues to make an incredible impact. He has also mentored ASPIRE and TL1 scholars.
