Psalm 139:9-10
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
New International Version (NIV)
"Need to get away?" asks a voice in a familiar commercial for an airline.  Sometimes we do.  Last week, we would have loved to get away from Hurricane Harvey.  But the outer bands of rain left us no respite coming in trains of clouds dumping water on our streets and in our homes.
A policeman observed a boy riding around the block.  After the third pass, he asked the boy what he was doing.  "Running away from home!" came the angry reply.  "But why are you going around the block?' persisted the officer.  "I'm not allowed to cross the street," said the boy glumly.
God promises to lead us personally.  David had experienced God's hand guiding him and his right hand holding on to him.  It is good to hold on to God.  We are glad to know that when our grip begins to slip, he holds on to us.  Rest in his presence today.  Come home to God!
Pray with me:
God our help in ages past, our hope for years to come, our shelter from the stormy blast and our eternal home, help us to make ourselves at home in you.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.
I want to invite you to join me in memorizing 52 passages this year from the 2017 set of Fighter Verses.  You can find the Fighter Verses App at the App Store on your phones or via this link  http://fighterverses.com/the-verses/fighter-verses/As we study the Bible this year, let's look at each text and learn what it says about God.
Joyfully,
