Annalise Sorrentino, MD, FAAP
Annalise Sorrentino, MD, FAAP, FACEP, is a professor in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine and serves as the assistant dean of students at UAB Heersink School of Medicine. She is also the author-editor-publisher of the Division’s newsletter, The Polhill Report. She serves in many leadership roles with the pediatric residency program including as a leader of PRIME (Pediatric Residents Interested in Medical Education), faculty advisor for Coat of Arms (residency advocacy), and co-leader of pediatric residency journal club. She is on the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) council steering committee and is chair of the southeast regional emergency physicians annual conference.
Dr. Sorrentino will present Tales from the Pediatric ED on Thursday, June 8, at 8:00 a.m., and Pediatric Fever Update at 12:00 p.m. that same day
Jaron D. Raper, MD
Jaron D. Raper, MD, is an emergency medicine physician and assistant professor at UAB Heersink School of Medicine. He serves as assistant program director for the UAB emergency medicine residency program, and has been core faculty at UAB since 2015. His academic interests include innovative educational practices and the acute diagnosis and management of patients suffering from pulmonary embolism, with a focus on appropriate triage and disposition.
Dr. Raper will present ED Takedown on Tuesday, June 6, at 8:00 a.m., and Opioid Stewardship on Thursday, June 8, at 11:30 a.m.
Lawrence B. (Larry) Stack, MD
Lawrence B. (Larry) Stack, MD, is a professor of emergency medicine at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn. He has been involved in medical student, resident and fellow training in emergency medicine and pediatric emergency medicine for 33 years. His academic interests include clinical photography, diagnostic imaging, emergency ophthalmology, and emergency airway management. He has co-authored The Atlas of Emergency Medicine, The Atlas of Emergency Radiology, and The Handbook of Medical Photography.
Dr. Stack will co-host Garvey Games with Kevin S. Barlotta, MBBS, MD, on Wednesday, June 7, at 12:00 p.m.
