World Heart Federation Roadmap on Cardiac Rehabilitation |
We're delighted to share that our latest paper, "World Heart Federation Roadmap on Cardiac Rehabilitation: A Pathway to Lifelong Cardiovascular Health", has been published in Nature Reviews Cardiology.
This World Heart Federation Roadmap brings together an international group of experts from across six WHO regions to provide a united vision for the future of cardiac rehabilitation and cardiovascular prevention. The paper highlights five key roadblocks and practical solutions to improve access, quality, equity and sustainability of cardiovascular health programmes worldwide.
A key message of the Roadmap is the need to shift our thinking from short-term "cardiac rehabilitation" towards lifelong cardiovascular health, supported by person-centred care, flexible models of delivery, workforce development, and stronger advocacy and policy.
Special congratulations to Julie Redfern and Sidney Smith, together with all co-authors and collaborators around the world, for this incredible global initiative.
