The International Student Support Initiative (ISSI) is a centralized, coordinated, and comprehensive hub for NYU’s international student community. A collaboration between the Office of Global Services (OGS) and the Center for Student Life (CSL), ISSI is dedicated to not only support international students at NYU, but also to provide resources and expertise to create academic, co-curricular, and social opportunities for sustained, cross-cultural learning.

NYU Self-Study Survey
NYU is conducting a self-study as part of its accreditation for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. All NYU students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to answer two quick questions that will help the university reflect on the present and look to the future.

Casting Call for Global Perspectives Video Series
ISSI is facilitating a series of videos with international students sharing their opinions on various topics to highlight students' opinions, experiences, and perspectives on topics relevant to current and prospective international students.

Post-Pandemic: A Dialogue Around Inequality Facing International Residents in the United States
Join us with the Wagner Diversity Council (WDC) Wagner International Students Society (WISS) and Pan Asian Student Alliance (PASA) for a discussion about Post-Pandemic challenges facing international residents in the US. This event is part of WDC’s annual Powering Structural Change Conference with featured speakers from the NYU Student Health Center, Office of Global Services, and the School of Global Public Health.

Off-Campus Employment Options for F-1 Students
Are you an F-1 international student at NYU who’s interested in working/interning off-campus, but not sure what your next step should be? Chances are you’ll need work authorization in order to maintain your F-1 status. This workshop covers what you need to know about your off-campus employment options: an overview of different types of work authorization (namely CPT and OPT), what to consider when choosing the option that fits for you, and how to get through the application process. We’ll also briefly cover employment-related topics like social security, tax, health insurance, and extensions.

For those who are new, this is a conversation-based event in which we discuss a new cultural topic each month. This month’s topic will be Nationality & Cultural Identity. Discover NY: Harlem Walking Tour
Join in on a Harlem tour provided by Harlem One Stop! Harlem One Stop is a community-based organization that is deeply involved in serving the interest of the community and preserving what makes Harlem great. All tour guides live in Harlem and are involved in the life of the community. They know all about Harlem’s History as well as Harlem as it is Today.
The walking tour will highlight the social and cultural history of Harlem, the Harlem Renaissance, and contemporary neighborhood shifts and changes.

Carnegie Hall: Orchestra of St. Luke’s
Orchestra of St. Luke’s returns for a three-concert series that includes Felix Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Piano Concerto No. 1; Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 18 and Shubert’s “Great” Symphony; and an all-Handel program of Coronation Anthems, Music for the Royal Fireworks, and Ode for the Birthday of Queen Anne.
The great Bernard Labadie conducts, with special appearances by pianists Emanuel Ax and Benjamin Grosvenor; singers Iestyn Davies, Lauren Snouffer, Cecelia Hall, Joélle Harvey, and Matthew Brook; actor David Hyde Pierce; and the exquisite La Chapelle de Québec.
