Clemson Cooperative Extension's 2025 Ag + Art Tour kicks off this weekend in Hampton, Lancaster and McCormick counties (May 3) and Pickens County (May 3-4). The tour, the largest of its kind in the country, is a free, self-guided tour of farms and markets featuring local artisans at every stop. Hillary Smith (pictured right), assistant director of social media and adjunct marketing lecturer at Clemson, have been investigating the accessibility of popular social media platforms, specifically examining features aiding individuals who are visually or hearing impaired.

Several of Clemson's leading experts (Tanju Karanfil, Ezra Cates and Kevin Finneran) are taking on what are known as "forever chemicals," which have been used for decades in industry and consumer products. Their work could help address various health concerns surrounding these chemicals nationwide.
