Good morning! The Clemson 8 Challenge starts tomorrow to honor the University's known prisoners of war. A new registrar has been announced, Athletics hosts a full slate of events this weekend and more.

The fifth annual Clemson 8 Challenge begins Saturday, March 8 at 9 a.m. at the Military Heritage Plaza on Bowman Field. Created in part by the late Honorary Brigadier General Ben Skardon, the Challenge honors Clemson’s 25 known POWs from all wars. Those interested in participating can still register for the event.

Following a national search, Rock McCaskill (pictured left) has been named Clemson University’s registrar, a position he’s held as interim since January 2024. McCaskill has over 30 years of experience in higher education administration, including as the university registrar at Southern Wesleyan University and Armstrong State University.

The Clemson University Police Department is hosting Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D) classes March 10 and 12. Open to students, faculty and staff, the R.A.D. course teaches hands-on training and how to take an active role in self-defense and psychological well-being. Email Nicole Rife to sign up.
