Dragon Dialogue on Belonging, This Thursday, April 30
Join us on THURSDAY, APRIL 30, 8:15 a.m., in the Perkinson Arts Center for our spring Dragon Dialogue.
Topic: Building on St. Michael’s Commitment to Belonging Presented by: The St. Michael's Board of Trustee's Inclusion and Belonging Advisory Commitee
The Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities will return to St. Michael’s to continue our School’s ongoing conversations about Belonging. Attendees will consider the importance of belonging, reflect on their experiences as students and parents, and discuss practices to ensure that all children feel seen, included, and supported. They will also consider evidence-based approaches to help foster positive and inclusive peer relationships. Please RSVP to attend.

Countdown to Magic Dragon Day
The BIG day is almost here! We're looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday, May 2, for Magic Dragon Day!
Here are a few "need to know" items to make the most of the day:
- Event hours: 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Pre-purchased t-shirts, tickets & wristbands will be picked up this year AT MAGIC DRAGON DAY. The ticket booth opens on the day of the event at 10 a.m.
- PLEASE BRING CASH for extra tickets, wristbands, and concessions.
Schedule:
- The traditional Maypole dance is at 9:30 a.m
- Field Games will begin on the athletic field immediately after the Maypole dance. Grades 1-5 go first with the Middle Schoolers cheering, followed by the kindergarten and Middle School field game competitions.
- Booths, games, and concessions open at 11 a.m.
- Alumni Tug of War at 11 a.m.
- The Middle School Rock Band performs at 12:30 p.m.
- Concession Stand – Hot Dogs, Chips, Cotton Candy, Snow Cones, and Drinks (Please bring cash. Tickets may also be used.)
- Booths, games, and concessions close at 1 p.m. and clean-up begins.

Dragons and Squirrels Together!
Exciting News! On Wednesday, May 6, our Middle School Choir will be singing the National Anthem at the 7 p.m. kickoff of the Richmond Flying Squirrels Baseball Game in the new Carmax Stadium! First pitch is right after.
Let's show our DRAGON PRIDE by wearing school spiritwear/colors, attending the game, and cheering for our amazing St M Choir!
The Squirrels are offering St M faculty/families special $14.84 tickets at the link below. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. See you there!

Magic Dragon Day Needs
Stuffed Animals Wanted: The much-loved Pet Palace, where students can use their Magic Dragon Day tickets to select a stuffed animal friend, returns to Magic Dragon Day this year!
- Please bring in your washed, gently used stuffed animals. Collection bins will be placed in the Lower School and Middle School front offices.
- Collection will also take place THIS Tuesday, April 28, during morning carpool.

For the health and safety of all of our students, faculty, and staff, thank you for informing St. Michael’s if your child is ill and/or has a suspected contagious illness.
Upon receipt of this information, Nurse Maben, St M's school nurse, will contact the family. Please keep your child(ren) AT HOME until contacted by Nurse Maben.
