"Why did you say 'Yes' to Young Life?"

"My friend became a leader for another school in the area, and I was interested. After God closed that ministry, it was a year and a half of waiting, until a connection through my church invited Ken Knott to a Community Group gathering. I introduced myself and said, "I'm ready to be involved in Young Life". Fast forward to a Young Life Leader Interest Meeting and joining the leader team at MVMS in the spring, the Lord was faithful and in the fall of that year He opened the door to become Team Leaders, together with my husband, Bryan. God has since then called us into leading through the beginning of Young Life ministry at Bonney Lake HS, with club launching at the end of March. We just had an amazing experience with HS students at Winter Blast Camp this last February, Bryan was sliding down an ice hill, made by the boys' cabin, on his two feet. While I was leading a group of girls, we tubed down a snow hill, performed an amazing skit, had moving cabin time, and just maybe slid down the ice hill. God called me to stay in the Bonney Lake area, and to serve in Young Life ministries." 

Bonney Lake/Sumner HS Young Life is kicking off, but there is still a need at Mountain View Middle School for caring adults who want to impact the lives of kids in the area.

Praise: With the continued commitment of adults showing up for students at Sumner/Bonney Lake high school, we are excited to announce that our first official SHS/BLHS Young Life Club launches on March 30th!

Prayer: Pray with us over the leadership team, the relationship with administration and teachers at the high school. Pray for the contact work this spring at both high school campuses.
