Part-Time Medical Assistant - Chevy Chase, Maryland
A gynecology practice in Chevy Chase, MD is looking to hire a part-time medical assistant. The doctor is an OB/GYN but is currently only practicing gynecology.
The position entails checking in and checking out patients, bringing patients into exam rooms, taking patient medical histories and vitals, scheduling appointments, calling patients with results, assisting the doctor with procedures, calling in prescriptions at the pharmacy, and processing lab samples. The candidate would be trained in all of the different tasks, so no prior medical assistant experience is necessary.
Employees at the office cycle through three different positions (check in, check out, and medical assistant), so the candidate would get exposure to many different aspects of the practice. This is an incredible learning opportunity for pre-health students to gain valuable clinical experience in a fast-paced and multifaceted medical office environment.
The candidate would ideally start as soon as possible and be willing to work full days (from about 8 AM to 4:30 PM) two days a week, but times are flexible.
For anyone interested in applying, please have them send an email with their CV/resume to the office manager, Diana Bernabei, at diana.bernabei@gmail.com.
