On Monday, June 2nd, 2025, it was discovered that the NYU ID Card office at 7 Washington Place in Manhattan had been the site of a burglary. Through a review of security camera footage, the incident was determined to have occurred early in the afternoon of Saturday, May 31st, 2025.

The suspect attempted to gain access to the cash register on the premises, but was unsuccessful.
The burglary was reported to the NYPD.

Description of Suspect(s): The suspect was masculine-presenting with a dark complexion wearing a black hat, gray hoodie, black pants, dark sneakers, and carrying a black book bag.
