Meet a few staff members in Administration and Finance who are sharing what exceptional service means to them and how they are creating positive and lasting experiences for the people they proudly serve.

While remnants of the recent chilled water outage remain in Harrison Square, operations are mostly back to normal following an around-the-clock operation executed by multiple departments across the Institute.

On a campus with more than 800 restrooms, Infrastructure and Sustainability’s Building Services team covers a lot of territory. A simple technology tool is making it much easier.

After conducting campus survey and cybersecurity research, the Office of Information Technology has made the decision to no longer offer the Duo Mobile phone call 2FA method for login to Georgia Tech systems, and OneUSG Connect access for campus users, beginning this fall, in two phases.

Beginning Nov. 11, the Duo phone call method will not be offered as a two-factor authentication (2FA) option for Georgia Tech users when logging in to OneUSG Connect. Beginning Dec. 3, the method will not be offered as a 2FA option on any Georgia Tech login system.

Employee engagement improves workplace culture, reduces turnover, increases productivity, and prioritizes well-being. This month, Georgia Tech is evaluating its employee engagement with a Gallup survey. The survey is being administered Sept. 24 through Oct. 8 via email invite from Gallup to all faculty and staff and will take no more than 10 minutes to complete. 

Eligible full-time faculty and staff are encouraged to apply for educational assistance through the Tuition Assistance Program and Staff Tuition Reimbursement Assistance Program, which provide a tuition and mandatory fee waiver or reimbursement. 

Talking Talent is an annual “open house” for Georgia Tech Human Resources. It’s an opportunity for Skye Duckett, vice president and chief human resource officer, to address the Georgia Tech community and share talent strategy updates, organizational changes, positive trends, and news pertaining to the people and culture of Tech.

The 2024 Data Days conference will take place Monday, Nov. 4, to Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Georgia Tech. This year’s conference, themed “Back to the Basics," is for the everyday data user and consumer and focuses on how to make the most of your data reports, leverage analytics to drive important decisions, and use data for effective storytelling. Registration begins on Oct. 7, 2024.

At this month's town hall, participants gained insights into the role A&F plays in delivering exceptional customer service to the Georgia Tech campus community. Panelists from units across A&F shared perspectives on the customer journey as well as strategies to enhance service at every touchpoint with campus customers.

 Unveiled in 2020, Georgia Tech’s strategic plan mapped out a vision to expand the Institute’s impact worldwide in the coming decade. At this year’s annual address, President Ángel Cabrera discussed the progress made and outlined a refined approach to meeting the plan’s original goals.
