MedServe - North Carolina
MedServe is a 2-year service-learning fellowship for recent graduates interested in health careers, especially pre-med and pre-PA students.
We are currently recruiting our 11th class of Fellows. MedServe places future physicians in “rock star” primary care clinics across rural and other medically underserved communities in North Carolina. As Fellows, students work in both a clinical role (e.g., as a medical assistant) and a community role (e.g., as a health coach). We currently have 71 Fellows serving across the state. The Rehab Aide is responsible for providing support to Physical and Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants in their treatment of patients, under their direct supervision as required in accordance with CAO's policies and procedures and state and federal (Medicare) rules and regulations. The Rehab Aide may also be responsible for assisting in front desk job duties as necessary.

Medical Assistant - Dermatology Center of Loudoun
Lansdowne, VA
We are a dermatology practice (80% medical-surgical/20% cosmetic) located in Lansdowne/Leesburg and Aldie, VA. Featuring one board-certified dermatologist, 3 PAs, and a full-time laser and aesthetic physician -- you will be working directly with our providers. Our physicians work closely with, and hire, all employees. We are a close-knit team who pride ourselves in working hard for the benefit of our patients.
Job Responsibilities:
Medical assistants take patients to their exam rooms, obtain histories, prepare patients for examination, assist the physician for procedures such as in-office surgeries, excisions, and biopsies, help patients with medications, scribe for the provider and more. Our assistants work one-on-one with the dermatologist and PAs. Full training in-office will be provided, including use of our electronic medical record. Training is also supplemented with our own MA training manual.
Qualifications:
Prior medical assisting experience is greatly preferred; medical assistant training program is helpful, but not required; previous clinical contact with patients, previous healthcare position also preferred. Great position for Pre-MD or Pre-PA.
Job Type: Full-time (32-36 hours/week) 4 days a week (3 day weekend). Pay based on experience level.
