Dear Colleagues: Welcome to the inaugural newsletter of the MIT Climate Policy Center! Our Center was formed to serve as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s "front door" for local, state, federal, and international climate policymakers. The Climate Policy Center’s mission is to serve as a trusted, nonpartisan resource for policymakers who seek to advance evidence-based climate policy in the next decade. We also work with business and civil society leaders as well as journalists covering climate issues.
We invite you to learn more about how we work to connect policy and research. We’re also delighted to announce our first policy analysis report, which explores four options for improving the U.S. electric grid by increasing interregional transmission.
Are you a policymaker or member of the media covering climate issues? Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions or topics you’d like to discuss. We look forward to engaging with you.
Sincerely,
Bethany Patten
Executive Director, MIT Climate Policy Center
